Terms of Service
These terms apply to the Decoders web app during the beta. Decoders is run by one individual, Gijun Lee, in the Republic of Korea, and is not yet a registered business. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
1. Who can take part
- You must be 14 or older and live in the United States, and you confirm this when you sign up.
- If you are 14 to 17, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has allowed you to use Decoders and has reviewed these terms with you.
- Decoders is not for children under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we delete it and its data (see the Privacy Policy, section 2).
- One account per person. Keep the email address on your account working — sign-in links and beta notices go there.
2. This is a beta
Decoders is provided "as is" during the beta. Features may change, break, or be removed; data may be lost; and the beta may be paused or ended at any time. Please keep your own copy of anything important.
3. Credits
- Credits are in-app points used to fund reward pools (makers) and earned for feedback (testers). They have no cash value, cannot be bought, cashed out, exchanged for goods or gift cards, sold, or transferred between accounts.
- Makers rate feedback for usefulness, not for whether it is positive. Credits are never conditioned on positive feedback or on posting reviews. If a maker has not rated your feedback within 72 hours, it is settled automatically using the AI usefulness score (or 1 credit when no score is available), limited by the reward pool.
- Credits may be removed if they were obtained by breaking these terms, and they expire when the service ends or your account is deleted.
4. Your content
- You keep ownership of what you post. You give Decoders permission to store, display, and process your content in order to run the service: showing prototypes and feedback to the people allowed to see them, sending notifications, and producing AI summaries and analyses as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Testers: your feedback and comments are shown, with your display name, to the maker and to anyone else who can see that prototype. Makers may use feedback to improve their products.
- Makers: you are responsible for the prototypes you link and for having the rights to the names, descriptions, and images you upload.
- Decoders may use anonymized, aggregated information about the beta (for example, how many testers returned after a new version) for research and to describe the service. Such statistics do not identify you.
- Only post content you have the right to post. Do not post other people's personal information.
5. Private tests and NDAs
A maker can run a private test and ask invited testers to accept a non-disclosure text before viewing it. That agreement is between the maker and the tester. Decoders only records that the text was accepted and when; Decoders is not a party to the agreement and does not enforce it.
6. What you may not do
- Create multiple accounts, or use someone else's account.
- Submit mass-produced or AI-generated feedback, feedback for prototypes you did not actually try, or feedback meant only to collect credits.
- Put personal information (yours or others') into feedback, comments, prototype descriptions, or changelogs.
- Harass other people, post unlawful content, or link to prototypes that distribute malware or deceive users.
- Scrape the service, probe or overload it, or try to access accounts or data that are not yours.
- Use the API, SDK, or webhooks in ways that circumvent limits or the rules above.
If you break these terms we may remove content, withhold or remove credits, or suspend or close your account. Where practical we will tell you why by email.
7. Testers take part independently
Giving feedback on Decoders is voluntary participation in a beta. It does not create an employment, contractor, or agency relationship with Decoders or with any maker, and credits are not wages or payment for services.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
- Prototypes are made by other users. Decoders does not review, endorse, or guarantee them. Use them at your own judgment.
- AI summaries, scores, and labels are generated automatically and can be wrong. They are aids, not decisions.
- To the extent permitted by the law that applies to you, Decoders is provided without warranties of any kind, and Decoders is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from use of the beta. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer-protection law gives you and that cannot be waived.
9. Ending your participation
- You can stop using Decoders at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing dlrlwns0704@gmail.com. Deletion follows the Privacy Policy (section 10).
- We may close the beta, or your account under section 6, at any time. If the beta ends, we will tell participants by email.
10. Changes
This is version 1.1, effective November 2, 2026 (version 1.1 lowered the minimum age from 18 to 14). If we make material changes, we will email you and show a notice in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Decoders after that means you accept the new terms.
